About the role
Slows Bar BQ is seeking experienced FOH leaders for its flagship Detroit restaurant and new Ann Arbor location. This role supports the General Manager in daily operations, guest service, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily Front-of-House operations, ensuring service standards are met and guest concerns are resolved promptly.
- Aid in managing P&L goals by controlling labor costs, monitoring COGS, and driving beverage sales.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training service staff; conduct performance reviews and manage scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations, safety standards, and alcohol service laws.
- Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory reporting.
- Cook up with the kitchen and bar teams to execute private events, catering orders, and seasonal activations.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment.
- Working knowledge of craft beer, spirits, and beverage program management.
- Proven track record of staff leadership and development.
