About the role

Methodist Hospital Northeast is a 232-bed, full-service hospital offering various specialties including joint replacement, neurosurgery, cardiology, and stroke care. The hospital is recognized for its excellence in patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Cafeteria: Demonstrate proper cash handling procedures, ensure cafeteria area is stocked, maintain attractive product appearance, meet all deadlines, follow HACCP guidelines.
• Salad Aides: Follow standardized recipes, monitor food for appropriate taste and appearance, understand and practice safe food handling techniques, complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Nourishments: Perform routine diet nourishment functions, provide optimum service to patients and caregivers, understand modified diets, and prepare modified diets.
• Plugger: Perform routine patient cart functions, provide optimum service to patients and caregivers, understand modified diets, and prepare modified diets.
• Grill: Prepare all grill and fried items in a sanitary/timely manner, assist at steam table/salad bar/beverage area, practice safe food handling techniques, greet and assist customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some Food Service experience is desirable.
• Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date.
