Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient removal of material from rack systems without damage to material or coating.
- Identify material by customer and segregate as required by job or customer.
- Bundle and stack material for shipment, as required by drivers and customers for safe transportation.
- Clean and inspect material per ASTM using files, grinders, zinc rich paint, galvanize hot stick, brushes, and sandpaper.
- Able to use cutting torch and heating torch to apply holes and/or clean material.
- Able to operate crane systems in all environments.
- Able to operate forklift units in all environments.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times, and avoid waste of time and materials at all times.
- Knowledge in the use of wire cutters, ladders, and air tools (Grinders, Drills, Needle Guns).
- Sweeping and housekeeping in the following areas: Shop floor, Yard area, Storage area.
- Keep the yard area organized and weed free.
- Cleaning, sorting and bundling spinner material (typically 5 lbs. or less).
- Cleaning, sorting and bundling spin-a-batch material (typically 15 lbs or less).
- Assist in other duties as required.
- Perform periodic and schedule inspections on equipment, and facilities.
