About the role

DaVita is seeking a Nurse to deliver care in an outpatient dialysis center. You can make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. No dialysis experience is required. Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic. You will float to various clinics during and after your training and must have a flexible schedule to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Be part of a supportive team environment where collaboration is key.
• Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities, requiring unique treatment plans and a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
• Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to conduct patient observations, measure stats, and set up machines.
• Work in a fast-paced environment using your head, heart, and hands each day.
• Commit to improving patient health through clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred.
• Three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for a nursing degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
