Float Pool Nursing Assistant, Full-Time
About the Role
Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great entry-level position with on-the-job training available for applicants interested in joining the healthcare field but who are not yet certified. It is also ideal for experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) looking for a supportive workplace.
You will help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments based on staffing and patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Assists with activities of daily living and care, including bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipates and proactively addresses the needs of patients and their families.
- Individualizes and modifies care according to patient needs.
- Collaborates with other healthcare team members to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Completion of Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), Mandt/CPI, and APS-Healthstream training (provided).
Schedule
Full-time day shifts: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, 3 shifts per week. Floats between two locations: Barry Road and Smithville Campus.
