As a Float Pool Nurse, you will support the staffing efforts of all departments, floating to areas including Inpatient Rehab, Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and ER. This role provides a great growth opportunity to work in all departments throughout our facility once you gain at least 1-2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs, carrying out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
- Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
- Act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or a compact state.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), or BCLS Instructor, or CPR certification required.
- ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- PEARS or PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
Float Pool nurses must be flexible, possess strong clinical skills, good time management, and sound critical thinking abilities.
