Float Pool Nurse

About the Role

Provide high-quality, patient-centered care across various units by assessing patient conditions, performing procedures, administering medications, and documenting care. Collaborate with healthcare teams, respond promptly to patient needs, and educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatments. Act as a patient advocate to ensure positive outcomes and exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status during admissions and shifts
• Follow provider orders and monitor responses to treatments
• Maintain thorough documentation
• Provide responsive, personalized care to support patient recovery and wellbeing

Requirements

• Current RN licensure (state or compact)
• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS (obtained within specified timeframes)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate compassionate care and effectively communicate complex medical information
