About The Medication Services Program

Our Medication Services Program plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve stability, hope, and wellness. Through Med Clinics located across several ReDiscover sites, our team partners with clients to evaluate their needs, prescribe appropriate medications, and provide ongoing monitoring and support.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessment/history on all clients entering treatment.
• Strategically use assessment information to make timely clinical evaluations of clients' current conditions, including making appropriate referrals, consulting with physicians, and educating clients as needed.
• Educate clients and families on symptoms, medications, and side effects.
• Provide a welcoming, trauma-informed approach to all clients, visitors, and guests.
• Collect and maintain client information and document interactions within ReDiscover’s designated electronic medical record.
• Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive coordination of client care.

Requirements

• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Main clinic location: 901 NE Independence, Lee's Summit, MO (Fearon). Float to other locations as needed:
  • 5904 Bannister Rd, Suite A, Kansas City, MO (Bannister)
  • 1535 NE Rice Road, Lee's Summit, MO
  • 6801 South 117th Street, Kansas City, MO (South)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or ability to practice as such in Missouri.
• At least two years of clinical experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting (preferred).
• Knowledge of community resources, health, and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area, with skill in establishing working relationships with community partners (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills with a recovery-focused approach.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
