Flight Line Group Coordinator
About the Role
Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Experienced and Senior Flight Line Group Coordinators (Level C and Level D) to support the 787 Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift. This position will provide critical production support to field operations including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Creates a culture that enhances productivity, safety and a teaming environment
- Works cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure LOTO book, kit and LOTO equipment are used correctly and inventoried
- Coordinates with Lead/Manager on execution and critical path of production build
- Supervising Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
- Review current LOTOs
- Coordinating hazardous energy work
- Hand-off or end-of-shift activities
- Abnormal circumstance responses
- Verifies Aircraft power can be safely provided to the airplane
- Inventory LOTO Kits Pre and Post shift
- Sign into all LOTOs
- Remove any LOTOs from the book as required
- The GC meets with the work team to evaluate where hazardous energy is to be introduced
- Coordinating with Functional Test SMEs and ME's
- Review status of personnel and airplane system configuration
- Transfer LOTOs to the incoming GC's
- Sign out of all open Control Log Sheets (X35681)
- Verifies all mechanics are signed out of active LOTOs
- The GC may serve as PAE (Primary Authorized Employee) for all or some of the LOTOs only when necessary
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Ability to work a variable shift
- Ability to work overtime
- 3+ years of experience with live aircraft field operations/aircraft systems/LOTO
- 3+ years of experience within aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing
- 3+ years of experience in advising and influencing others to meet schedules and safety requirements or resolve technical or operational problems
- 3+ years of experience with Systematic Problem Solving
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of experience with Boeing Production System (BPS) concepts
- 3 years of experience in a team environment
- Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
Pay
Summary pay range Level C: $61,200 - 64,500
Summary pay range Level D: $72,000 - 76,000
Schedule
This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
