Flight Coordinator

What You Will Do

  • Oversight of department staff scheduling and assist in the approval of time of requests
  • Aid in the scheduling and stacking of trips in accordance with regulations, company policy, and with a focus on efficiencies and cost reduction
  • Receive trip requests via email and/or phone and build with detail and accuracy
  • Interact/communicate with customers internally and externally with a high degree of professionalism
  • Provide quotes for demo inquiries
  • Generate various reports for company departments and clients
  • Liaison with Director of Operations and/or Chief Pilot regarding new landing sites, safety and security policies, Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs), and process waivers for sporting events
  • Manage flight schedule with efficiency and knowledge of client ownership
  • Partner with the Director of Maintenance for aircraft availability
  • Follow all aircraft movements
  • Aid in crew briefing
  • Maintain crew duty time
  • Secure ground transportation for clients if applicable
  • Communicate aircraft schedule/movements with satellite bases
  • Provide electronic flight documentation to satellite crew members
  • File trip sheets/invoices
  • Support a teamwork atmosphere

Requirements

  • College degree preferred plus 1-3+ years of experience preferred
  • Flexibility to work on an as needed basis
  • A general knowledge of weather trends
  • Able to lead a group of dispatchers and facilitate quick and concise communications at all levels
  • Able to adapt to change on a continual basis
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and demonstrate the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Flight Scheduling software, as well as Microsoft Office Applications
