About the role

A typical day is working with people on skills such as cooking, cleaning, running errands, hiking, shopping, and enjoying the Duluth scenery! As a Float Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work at a variety of homes throughout the week. We reimburse for mileage, expenses, and activities.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of full-time work experience as a DSP, PCA, or CNA, a passion for supporting others, and a willingness to maintain a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends, etc.—not including overnights). You should also have use of a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver’s license. The Float DSP is comfortable supporting individuals with all levels of need.

Float Direct Service Professionals maintain a flexible schedule, provide compassionate caregiving, and are self-starters who love getting out into the community. You will receive a weekly schedule and work at various homes, assisting with independent living skills, personal and medical care, lifting and transferring, recreational activities, and some weekends.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule (days, evenings, weekends)
  • Ability to pass a MN Background Study
  • Valid Driver’s License & use of an insured vehicle
  • Minimum of one year full-time experience in direct care services (DSP, PCA, or CNA)

Schedule

  • 40 hours per week
  • Day and evening shifts
  • Weekday and weekend availability
  • Work 4 weekend days per month
  • No mandated shifts

Pay

$21.75 per hour
