About the role

This role requires a current Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire. The candidate must have at least 3 years of full-time experience in a Class A tractor/trailer driving position, with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, no serious traffic violations in the past 3 years, no DUI/DWI/OUI/reckless driving convictions in the past 10 years, no preventable accidents or DOT recordable accidents in the past 10 years, and no preventable accidents resulting in fatalities or catastrophic injuries in the past 10 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, executes, and improves action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others.
  • Supports and aligns efforts to meet customer and business needs.
  • Builds commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Engages in content teach-backs and co-facilitates training content for Driver Trainees with senior leaders.
  • Provides feedback to participants in the Driver Trainee program, Fleet Development leadership, and Regional Training Center team members.
  • Supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Identifies business needs, determines necessary processes and practices, monitors progress, and adapts to changes.
  • Conducts facilitation audits and One Best Way consistency tours in Regional Training Centers with leadership.
  • Ensures One Best Way compliance in Regional Training Centers.
  • Ensures alignment with Fleet Development class content.
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in Fleet Development content development and reviews to provide feedback and suggestions.
  • Conducts assessment reviews to validate Fleet Development content accuracy.
  • Supports the adoption of structural and change initiatives by engaging with associates.
  • Trains Driver Trainees on change initiatives through classroom and virtual classroom facilitation.
  • Supports Regional Training Centers outside of class delivery times by assisting in process execution and executing "tour to teach."
  • Executes training classes in accordance with block schedules, including virtual reality training.
  • Monitors virtual reality training utilization and end-of-day activities.
  • Stays informed on changes in One Best Way processes.
  • Delivers training to Regional Training Center associates using different modalities.
  • Implements and supports training for specialty and change initiatives.
  • Engages with Fleet Development Trainers to provide additional training and follow-up on task completion.
  • Supervises and develops associates by hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Assigns duties, provides recognition, and fosters a belonging mindset in the workplace.

Qualifications
