About the role
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles operated by Xcel Energy Corp. This person will be working out of the Roswell, NM service center location. This includes preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs of cars, trucks, aerial devices, construction equipment and other types of equipment operated by the company. This position is a Monday-Friday shift. Candidate must reside within 20 miles from the Roswell, NM service center.
Responsibilities
- Fleet Mechanic A: Responsible for preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs of fleet vehicles. Requires 4+ years of experience in automotive and/or truck maintenance and repair field, 8 ASE certifications, Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and willingness to work after hours.
- Fleet Mechanic B: Responsible for preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs of fleet vehicles. Requires 2+ years of experience in automotive/truck field, 6 ASE certifications, CDL Class A, and ability to read and understand English, perform basic math, and use basic computer skills.
- Fleet Mechanic C: Responsible for preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs of fleet vehicles. Requires 1 year of experience in automotive/truck field, CDL Class A, and ability to read and understand English, perform basic math, and use basic computer skills.
Requirements
- Fleet Mechanic A: High school diploma or GED, 4+ years of experience in automotive and/or truck maintenance and repair field, 8 ASE certifications, Class A CDL, DOT medical card, and willingness to work after hours.
- Fleet Mechanic B: High school diploma or GED, 3 years of continuous work history in automotive/truck field, 6 ASE certifications, CDL Class A, and ability to read and understand English, perform basic math, and use basic computer skills.
- Fleet Mechanic C: High school diploma or GED, 1 year of experience in automotive/truck field, CDL Class A, and ability to read and understand English, perform basic math, and use basic computer skills.

Pay
The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $24.56 to $43.33 per hour.
Schedule
This position is a Monday-Friday shift.
