What You'll Do
- Standardize the fleet to streamline vehicle purchases and remarketing.
- Monitor and ensure fleet operations comply with local and state rules and regulations.
- Develop, lead, and implement sourcing initiatives to reduce costs and improve fleet and vehicle commodities.
- Develop and maintain a base of qualified vendors that meet vehicle commodity needs and organizational goals.
- Maintain fuel purchase systems (Fuel Cards) for all vehicles and drivers.
- Integrate vehicle data with accurate driver assignments and cost allocations.
- Manage IRP fleet vehicle registrations, renewals, and reports.
- Balance and submit lease and service billings for payment.
- Develop and implement standard operational standards to maintain vehicles by advocating best practices in industry.
- Cook up and coordinate relevant vehicle information to assist in resolving Safety, EH&S, Risk Management, Assets, and DOT issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Associates Degree in Business, Materials Management, or Technical discipline.
- Two years experience in fleet, purchasing, or relevant technical/analytical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills with programs such as Word for Windows, Lotus, Excel, Power Point, etc.
