Flatbed Semi Driver

About the role

Jones & Sons is seeking a Flatbed Semi Driver at our Bloomfield, IN location. Established in 1971, we are a family-owned and operated business serving Southwest Indiana with core activities including Ready Mixed Concrete, Block, Brick, Precast Concrete, and Aggregates.

Responsibilities

• Flatbed truck deliveries of various items including concrete block, brick and concrete precast structures
• Help with loading and unloading truck with use of a forklift
• May be trained on other equipment and may work in other areas of plant as needed

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Knowledge of flatbed operation a plus
• Be able to tarp loads when needed
• Experience operating a forklift a plus
• Able to secure uneven loads
• Able to climb on and off flatbed trailer
• Job requires physical dexterity and ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
• Help promote a culture of safety
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screens
• Pass criminal background check and driving record review
