Semi Driver

About the role

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking immediate hires for various positions. Pay is dependent on experience, typically ranging from $27 to $34+ per hour, with weekly pay. The typical schedule includes Monday through Friday, with occasional rotating on-call schedules. Shifts are from 7 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, offload, and secure equipment using chains and binders.
• Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of the equipment.
• Complete necessary paperwork and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain communication with co-workers and customers in a professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe driving record.
• Coachability and willingness to learn and adapt to meet Sunstate's standards.
• Detail-oriented and capable of providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Unrestricted Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a semi, preferably as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
• Physical agility to perform tasks such as loading, offloading, and securing equipment.
• Customer-oriented and able to instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Team-player with effective communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
