Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of agency functions, regulations, and procedures for Children and Youth Services and Juvenile Probation
  • Build relationships with caseworkers, supervisors, providers, and partner agencies to exchange needed information
  • Gather and check documentation to determine eligibility for TANF and IV-E programs
  • Track changes in household circumstances and maintain required forms and fiscal documentation
  • Enter information in CAPS, PEAPS, and other systems while ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Help process invoices, purchase orders, adoption and foster data, and payroll tasks as required

Qualifications

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training

Other Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to meet the PA residency requirement
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law
  • A conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Pay

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,235.00 (before taxes).

Schedule

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one scheduled day per week after approval of supervisor and must hold regular status as Fiscal Technician
  • To telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania
  • If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown
  • The ability to telework is subject to change at any time
