Fiscal Management Specialist 2
About the role
The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) is seeking a Fiscal Management Specialist 2 who demonstrates a commitment to accurate and timely work results as well as possesses strong organizational and communication skills. This position supports the Fiscal Management Division by managing federal funds and completing important financial tasks that strengthen statewide substance use disorder programs.
Responsibilities
- Grant Oversight: Manage daily activities for State Opioid Response appropriations including expenditure reports, fund analysis, and financial adjustments
- Budget Support: Assist in preparing spending plans, salary projections, and federal funds approval documents for budget processes
- Compliance Review: Examine federal guidelines and notices to ensure grant applications and awards meet all requirements
- Fiscal Documentation: Prepare fiscal materials for applications, progress reports, budget revisions, and post award amendments
- Award Tracking: Monitor grant award conditions, deadlines, and reporting requirements to maintain compliance with federal agencies
- Financial Coordination: Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to evaluate expenditures and support program and audit requests
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or one year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Schedule
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. You will be required to report in-office 2 days per week and for special events.
