Fiscal Specialist 2
About the role
The Fiscal Specialist 2 position supports the Environmental Services (EVS) department at UW Medical Center – Northwest. This role provides fiscal, payroll, and administrative support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, financial reporting, and compliance with UW Medicine policies.
Responsibilities
- Process employee payroll, leave entitlements, orientation hours, payroll corrections, and status changes.
- Review timesheets, resolve payroll exceptions, and reconcile FTE allocations.
- Prepare payroll, fiscal, and operational reports and assist with budget forecasting and departmental planning.
- Process invoices and travel-related transactions through Ariba and maintain vendor records and supporting documentation.
- Analyze payroll and financial data, identify issues, and recommend process improvements.
- Serve as secondary administrative support for the Environmental Services department.
- Answer multi-line phones, route calls, respond to inquiries, and provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.
- Maintain electronic and manual filing systems and support departmental reports, projects, and committee activities.
- Utilize systems including UKG, Epic, Ariba, Microsoft Office, and other databases to support daily operations and ensure compliance with UW Medicine policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Two years of experience equivalent to Fiscal Specialist I.
- Completion of 15 quarter credits or 10 semester credits of college-level accounting coursework, or equivalent education and experience.

Skills
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range Minimum: $22.17 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $29.65 hourly
