First Shift Senior Operator

About the role

The Operator position is within a high-performing Operations and Sustainment team, embedded on-site, with customer presence, for a mission-critical system. The role involves 24x7 operations, troubleshooting, and assisting with upgrades and monitoring system performance.

Responsibilities

• Works with other operators, data managers, and external partners to resolve technical system anomalies.
• Maintains the environment by identifying and addressing anomalies, or escalating issues to senior engineers.
• Installs upgrades and monitors system and network performance.
• Initiates troubleshooting and collaborates with other organizations as needed.
• Fulfills operational policies and procedures, troubleshoots hardware, software, and operating system issues, and escalates application problems to support teams.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 2 years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with Linux commands.
• Security+ certification preferred.
• Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) preferred.
• Familiarity with technical documentation.
• Comfortable working collocated with the customer and other operations center residents.
• Proven ability in strong customer support.
• Strong team player with good communications and detailed problem tracking for system reports.
