Duties
- Works under the supervision of the Director and/or Facility Manager.
- Primarily responsible for managing and maintaining fire detection, alarm, and suppression equipment & systems.
- Responsible for Life Safety, Regulatory Readiness, coordination with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ's) for the hospitals and clinics.
- Implement and maintain all documentation for inspection(s) and stay current of National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), Joint Commission, American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and other regulatory bodies/codes.
- Performs monthly, bi-annual, and annual National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code inspections, maintains inspection and certification records, troubleshoots problems, and performs daily maintenance on all fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Establishes inspection criteria to meet all state and federal fire codes.
- Serve as maintenance liaison for environmental tour group for the EOC tours of all the departments in the complex and outside clinics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Driver's Licence - Valid And In State - Missouri Class E Drivers License within 90 days is required.
- FEMA Incident Command System 100, 200, and 700 certifications within 1 year is required.
- OSHA 10 within 90 days is required.
- Certification from NFPA related to Fire and/or life safety.
- Health Care based is preferred.
- 5 Years of regulatory/Code/Life Safety or related experience is required.
- 5 Years of experience in coordination/delegation of work is required.
- 3 Years of experience in budget/performance reporting and/or oversight is preferred.
- 3 Years of experience Maintenance/Facilities related support environment is preferred.
