Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Maintenance Specialist position at LAZ Parking is responsible for maintaining and cleaning garages and surface lots daily. Key duties include sweeping, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, managing snow removal, and assisting with cashiering.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily maintenance tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist customers in garages and surface lots, using intercom systems and in-person assistance.
• Work collaboratively with other departments and maintain good customer relations.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with general facility maintenance.
• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible and work multiple locations.
• Ability to handle challenging situations and make independent decisions.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull at least 30 pounds, stand, walk, and operate machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 30 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
• Must be able to operate machinery including a golf cart.
