Responsibilities
- Ensuring all outages and washes comply with the G-P-ME 010 Outage Process, including milestone development and governance; scope definition with Operations; verification that planning, work packages, and scheduling are complete and execution-ready; coordination of cost tracking and controls; ownership of the lessons-learned process; and ensuring accountability for safe, efficient, and predictable execution.
- Maintaining and continuously improving planning and scheduling productivity and work management effectiveness for routine tasks incorporated into these specialized events.
- Leading cross-functional alignment among Maintenance, Operations, Technology, Engineering, and Capital Project teams to develop executable work scopes, validate resource and sequencing strategies, and ensure successful execution.
- Facilitating discussions and influencing decisions related to scope, schedule, risk, cost, and resource allocation while balancing immediate operational needs with longer-term strategic objectives.
- Developing and executing stakeholder communication strategies, delivering clear and effective updates to stakeholders ranging from craft personnel and supervisors to site and business leadership.
- Serving as a trusted partner to leadership teams by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, driving alignment, and promoting best practices that enhance outage performance and reliability.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Petrochemical Industry.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience supporting maintenance outages, turnarounds, or large maintenance events.
- A minimum of 2 years leading maintenance outages or complex cross-functional maintenance scopes.
- Demonstrated experience leading and influencing teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to balance business priorities, operational requirements, and execution risks.
- Experience communicating with diverse stakeholder groups and presenting recommendations to leadership.
- Knowledge of SAP and Primavera.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
