Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Maintenance Specialist position at LAZ Parking is responsible for maintaining and cleaning garages and surface lots daily. Key duties include sweeping, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, managing snow removal, and assisting with cashiering functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily maintenance tasks on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and on time.
• Greet customers using name, respond promptly to inquiries, and maintain a positive customer service attitude.
• Provide vehicle assistance and assist customers through intercom systems, lobbies, lanes, and the parking office.
• Handle disputes and communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Experience in customer relations is preferred but not required.
• A valid driver's license and ability to operate Maintenance vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations.
• Ability to handle challenging and emotionally charged situations.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and make decisions independently.
• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 30 pounds.
• Standing, walking, running, bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, operating machinery including a golf cart.
