Fire Protection Superintendent

About the role

The Fire Protection Superintendent oversees all fire protection systems and procedures within a facility, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of NFPA standards, and the ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of fire protection systems including sprinklers, alarms, and detection devices.
• Ensure all staff are trained in emergency response protocols and fire safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of fire protection equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement fire safety training programs for employees.
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection management.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Experience with fire suppression systems and alarm monitoring.

Pay

$X per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some evening and weekend shifts required.
