About the role
The Fire Protection Superintendent oversees the maintenance and operation of fire suppression systems in a commercial building setting. This role requires strong leadership skills and knowledge of fire safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of fire suppression systems
- Ensure compliance with local fire codes and regulations
- Train and supervise maintenance staff
- Respond to fire alarms and conduct fire drills
- Perform regular inspections of fire suppression equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire protection systems management
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
