Financial Operations Specialist - Center for Biostatistics

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently pull Workday reports and suggest fiscal process improvements and internal controls.
  • Manage Center billing processes and assist with monthly reconciliation tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee asset tracking, costing allocations, PCard management, and support the administration of travel and expense reports.
  • Provide technical and financial advice to Center leadership, contributing to revenue and expense budget development and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and reconciled accounts in the general ledger, adhering to financial principles and reporting schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Center Administrator on various special projects, including budgeting, costing allocation management, Center billing/invoicing, and monthly financial reporting initiatives.
  • Leverage communication skills to engage with stakeholders, such as the COM, CTO, GMOs, CCC, NCH, and PIs, to align with organizational objectives.

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, two (2) years of fiscal experience, preferably in a university, may also be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with MS Excel and MS Office.
  • Experience with Workday is also strongly desired.
