About the role

A growing organization is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to support account administration, payment processing, reconciliation activities, and customer account maintenance. This position serves as a key resource for resolving account-related inquiries, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with internal policies and external requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process account adjustments, refunds, credits, and related financial transactions in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing, payments, account balances, and account activity through various communication channels.
  • Coordinate invoicing and payment activities involving external funding sources, contracted payers, or third-party organizations.
  • Reconcile account information and assist in resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain documentation, audit support files, and operational procedures related to account administration.
  • Monitor compliance requirements and implement process updates as regulations or organizational policies evolve.
  • Partner with internal teams to support account accuracy, issue resolution, and a positive customer experience.
  • Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in customer service, financial operations, billing, accounting, or administrative support.
  • Experience in higher education, financial aid, student accounts, or other customer-focused financial operations environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience working with customer accounts, billing operations, financial transactions, or payment processing.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment.

Pay

$40,000–$48,000 base salary (final salary will depend on relevant experience and will not exceed the listed range).
