About the role

As a Financial Due Diligence Manager, you’ll focus on middle-market transactions, serving dynamic organizations with experienced professionals who bring a full range of advisory services to validate, optimize and create value for the Grant Thornton | Stax Transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial due diligence professionals on buy-side and sell-side transactions for our client base which includes corporate clients, private equity groups and commercial lenders
  • Manage engagements throughout the transaction lifecycle and coordinate other Grant Thornton capabilities by leveraging the expertise of other service lines, cross-functional teams, and international colleagues as needed
  • Plan, execute, direct and complete financial due diligence for financial and corporate strategic buyers from a variety of industries
  • Examine & analyze client data to identify key trends, quality of earnings adjustments and net working capital impacts
  • Draft reports to socialize our findings around quality of earnings, networking capital and business performance along with insights around the key financial and business issues in a transaction
  • Manage client expectations concerning timing, progress, deliverables, deadlines, and lead change efforts effectively
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls
  • Recruit, manage, mentor, and train senior associates and associates
  • Audit and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines
  • Assess performance of senior associates and associates for engagement and year-end reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required, Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level required
  • Industry recognized professional certification required, CPA or related license/certification preferred
  • Strong current knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous project in a rapidly growing practice
  • Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skills
  • Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 25%

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial due diligence, M&A, and/or transaction advisory services
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor junior staff
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services or mergers and acquisitions
  • Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects

Pay

The base salary range for this position is between $161,920 and $202,400. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.

Schedule

This position requires in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a GT office or client site. Here, you are supported to prioritize your overall well-being through work-life integration options that work best for you and those in your household.
