Job Responsibilities
- Aids in the development of business plans.
- Maintains or improves financial and/or operational performance through financial reports.
- Prepares financial documents supporting recommendations.
- Supports and monitors research-related financial activities ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Oversees and/or approves procurement and disbursement/reimbursement activities.
- Ensures proper internal controls are in place around financial transactions.
- Solves financial issues as needed.
- Tracks income and identifies outstanding revenue receivables.
- Manages financial activity of grant portfolios, including pre- and post-award grant management activities.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory audits/inspections and/or internal reviews.
- Develops and recommends corrective action plans to address deficiencies identified.
- Serves as liaison to audit teams during on-site visits.
- Participates in departmental space planning and coordinates relocation of offices.
Requirements
Approximately 4 years of related experience, preferably in an academic healthcare or research setting.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with budget and strategic financial planning.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of financial planning and compliance with institutional and funding agency regulations.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
