Financial Analyst - Product Development

About the role
This position provides financial guidance and analytical support for Motorcycle Product Development. Responsibilities include month-end closing duties, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, capital business case support, and ad-hoc analyses. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Product Development, Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, and other Finance areas, with regular exposure to company management.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end closing duties, including variance analysis, account reconciliations, journal entries, and results reporting for assigned motorcycle platforms and departments.
- Ensure understanding of and adherence to internal controls and GAAP.
- Provide business analysis and modeling to support financial decision-making and budget management.
- Prepare business cases for capital funding requests, including financial modeling and analysis of projected returns (IRR/NPV/Payback Period).
- Guide and partner with business teams on financial decision-making.
- Coordinate the development and tracking of project budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of related work and/or public accounting experience.
- Competency in spreadsheets and accounting systems for analysis and financial modeling.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Finance and experience across various Finance areas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of management.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Power BI experience preferred (SAP and ERP experience a plus).

Pay
The pay range for this role is $65,700 - $98,400 (national average), dependent on geographic location and experience.
Schedule
Full-time, onsite position. Travel required: 0 - 10%.
