Financial Analyst

About the role

Waterstone Professional Recruiting is partnering with a fast-growing wealth management firm and multi-family office in Salt Lake City to hire a Financial Analyst. Our client serves founders, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth families, many of whom have built significant wealth through a single business or liquidity event.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio management for custom, endowment-style client portfolios, including asset allocation, rebalancing, and trade preparation.
• Research and monitor public market securities, funds, and macro trends to inform investment decisions.
• Assist with private investment due diligence, deal evaluation, and commitment pacing across private funds.
• Build and maintain financial models and balance sheet analyses covering public and private holdings, concentrated stock, real estate, and other assets.
• Prepare portfolio reports, performance analysis, and client meeting materials.
• Coordinate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, and other advisors on tax, estate, and charitable planning work.
• Help build and improve the processes, tools, and models a growing team will rely on.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or economics.
• Strong working knowledge of public markets, securities, and portfolio construction.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Willingness to obtain the Series 65 after hire (the firm covers the cost).
• Exceptional attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Experience at an RIA, family office, private bank, investment firm, or in investment research.
• Exposure to private investments, venture capital, or due diligence.
• Familiarity with portfolio reporting platforms, custodial systems, or market data tools.
• Progress toward the CFA or CFP.

Pay

$75,000–$105,000 base + bonus, profit sharing, and 401(k) match
