About the role
The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Regional Finance Manager and play a key role in supporting finance functions across the West Region. This is a highly collaborative position that partners closely with the regional finance team, operations, and back-office functions to support the monthly close cycle, financial reporting, and ongoing analysis of regional results.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation, working closely with the finance team to meet established deadlines.
- Review and analyze general ledger activity, researching variances and reconciling items and preparing adjusting entries as needed to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results.
- Compile and maintain supporting schedules and financial tracking tools, ensuring underlying data and documentation are complete, current, and audit-ready.
- Perform recurring analysis of key cost drivers and operating metrics, identifying trends, variances, and outliers and escalating items that warrant further review.
- Aid in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages, and participate in financial review meetings with operations to help research and resolve open items.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for finance-related inquiries from the field, coordinating follow-up and driving items to timely resolution, particularly during the close cycle.
- Collaborate with the finance team, operations, and back-office functions to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and support accurate and timely reporting across the region.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting tools, and documentation standards, bringing forward suggestions to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses, reporting, and special projects in support of the Regional Finance Manager and broader finance team as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and 1–3 years of relevant financial or accounting experience (internship experience considered).
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced preferred), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of and/or prior experience with Sage Intacct, ADP Vantage, Bill.com, and Kronos preferred, but not required.
