About the Role
This role will be located at Troubadour Golf & Field Club, outside of Nashville, TN. The Financial Analyst will support the financial affairs for the project's development within the Accounting & Finance Department.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a working version of project business plans, ensuring actuals tie to accounting systems and all forecast data (including sales and development costs) reflect current contracts and align with business goals.
- Prepare the monthly investor report, including aggregating financial information, drafting analytical commentary, soliciting and incorporating review comments from key project leaders, and assisting with distribution and investor presentations.
- Develop relationships with stakeholders, including investors and lenders, to provide timely information and offer project leadership insight on changes or concerns.
- Support the accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Assist with operations and oversight of project accounting, including cash management, general ledger, job cost, budget accounting, contract management, accounts payable, and fiscal records maintenance.
- Support the annual business plan process for the club and development.
- Facilitate financial comparison and approval for project budgets, collaborating with project managers, the VP of Development, and owner representatives.
- Provide assistance to the accounting team for correct invoice coding and maintaining up-to-date budget/commitments.
- Participate in regular development, sales, and club operations calls while maintaining awareness of ongoing project activity.
- Draft memos and provide ad hoc financial analysis for equity partner requests, financing needs, appraisals, external analysis, and internal team requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 1+ years of relevant experience, skill, and knowledge.
- Familiarity with US GAAP preferred.
- Real estate experience preferred.
- Prior working knowledge of accounting applications such as Timberline, Sage Intacct, and Procore is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., creating and analyzing complex models).
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to meet physical demands, including working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing/walking for over eight hours, and lifting/carrying items over 50 pounds.
