About the role
As our Financial Analyst, you are the financial backbone of Stem Health's day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, timely invoicing, and insightful financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and bank reconciliation, coding payables to appropriate cost centers and reconciling vendor statements.
- Process and track membership fee collections, private pay billing, and per-service charges, issuing invoices and following up on outstanding balances.
- Support contractor payments and payroll, collecting and maintaining timesheets and invoices, and liaising with external payroll providers.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking, to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Build and maintain financial models and reporting templates to provide real-time financial insights for leadership.
- Handle confidential financial information with strict compliance and professionalism.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; diploma/certificate with equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably with financial analysis, budgeting, or FP&A responsibilities.
- Experience in healthcare, private clinic, or membership-based businesses is a strong asset.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and solid understanding of accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- High proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Discreet and professional handling of sensitive financial information.
- Genuine interest in healthcare and a team-first approach.
