About The Role
The Financial Analyst role drives the preparation of SEC filing inputs, regulatory compliance reviews, and financial modeling to support strategic capital allocation decisions. Operating at the intersection of corporate finance and technical accounting, this position ensures rigorous adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance standards while delivering actionable financial insights. This role collaborates across departments to analyze operating expenses, coordinate quarterly forecast cycles, and maintain the integrity of financial controls. The analyst will translate complex transaction data into structured financial reports that directly support board presentations and public disclosures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial models, variance analyses, and forecast templates to support monthly and quarterly close cycles.
- Draft technical disclosure schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings, ensuring complete alignment with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Maintain and audit SOX control documentation for core financial processes, coordinating directly with internal and external audit teams.
- Analyze departmental budgets versus actual expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and flagging operational risks to leadership.
- Build automated dashboard reporting using Tableau and NetSuite to streamline routine financial metrics tracking and reporting cycles.
- Evaluate proposed vendor contracts and business transactions to determine correct accounting treatment and future balance sheet impact.
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, public accounting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
- Strong proficiency in US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and standard SEC compliance frameworks.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including financial modeling, index/match, macros) and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, Workday, or SAP.
- Exceptional analytical capability and attention to detail, with a proven track record of handling large financial datasets.
- Bonus: Active CPA license, CFA charterholder, or experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker).
