Financial Analyst
About the role
This is an unpaid internship. The Financial Analyst position will receive training and guidance as you learn about the technology services industry. It's a great opportunity for college students who want to develop leadership, sales, project management, and communication skills in a fast-paced and highly supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Aid in driving accounts to a close.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
- Prepare comprehensive financial models to evaluate potential investments, projects, or business initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management, board meetings, and stakeholders.
- Respond to inquiries, document, and provide communication assistance within the sales team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications (or Mac platform Numbers, Keynote and Papers).
- Genuine enthusiasm for an interest in working with people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment under strict time constraints.
- Reliable and detail oriented.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
