Financial Analyst

About the role

Dematic has an immediate need for a Financial Analyst at its Grand Rapids, MI headquarters. The position reports to the Senior Manager of FP&A and provides diversified experience within the Finance organization, offering a well‑rounded background in accounting and finance for future growth positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly financial close, including reporting financial results to the parent company with accurate and timely delivery.
• Coordinate quarterly and half‑year reporting packages for the parent organization.
• Serve as key point of contact for reporting questions and new guidance.
• Participate in monthly forecasts and the annual budget process, covering capital, shared service allocations, SG&A, and miscellaneous cost centers.
• Identify and implement operational improvements such as streamlined reporting and automation opportunities.
• Provide proactive analysis and insights beyond regular responsibilities.
• Work on special projects and improvement teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in Accounting preferred; Bachelor of Science in Finance or Economics acceptable.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in a large corporate environment or public accounting.
• Strong communication skills, high professionalism, and detail‑oriented approach.
• Motivated self‑starter with good judgment, resourcefulness, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Expertise with Excel and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or BI is an advantage.
• Interest in using this role as a springboard into project controlling, operations controlling, or other finance roles within approximately two years.

Pay

The base pay range for this role is estimated at $66,400–$99,600 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
