About the Role

Chosen Foods is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is designed for an early-career finance professional who wants to build a broad foundation and grow into future finance leadership. The Financial Analyst will go beyond traditional close support and reporting, delivering financial insights that drive real business decisions across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product. This includes customer, product, and channel profitability analysis, financial modeling, and business case development.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, genuine intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and ask hard questions. This role also carries a responsibility for continuous improvement — identifying opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve finance processes using modern tools and AI-enabled capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue and trade processes, including monthly revenue estimates and actuals tracking, sales pricing and discount setup in ERP/FPS systems, and trade forecast submissions.
  • Conduct customer, product, channel, and supply chain profitability analyses to identify opportunities for revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, standardization, and best-in-class FP&A practices.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support pricing, promotions, new product launches, capital investments, operational initiatives, and strategic decision-making.
  • Support monthly close activities including freight (in/out), 3PL, duties, logistics and marketing accruals, trade accrual reviews, and journal entry preparation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Operations to provide financial insights, support standard cost updates, and drive variance analysis (including logistics, marketing spend, and inventory E&O).
  • Support forecasting and planning cycles including the Latest Estimate (LE) process (data gathering, uploads in Planful) and annual budgeting.
  • Actively identify and implement opportunities to automate manual finance processes and apply AI-enabled tools to improve speed, accuracy, and quality of analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to financial reporting and analysis including management reporting, board materials, and ad hoc business insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience (internships strongly preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, exposure to financial models a plus).
  • Basic understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn in a team environment.
  • Experience with planning tools (e.g., Planful) or ERP systems is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with an open floor plan.
  • Professional office environment with a business casual dress code.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
