Responsibilities
- Lead by example, maintaining a high degree of hospitality, positive and professional demeanor
- Create high levels of morale, foster teamwork, inspire collaboration, and provide growth suggestions to management
- Generate periodic analytical reports to support premium/promotional days, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business operations
- Perform comprehensive analysis of promotions, events, direct mail campaigns, and provide ongoing recommendations for improving database performance
- Track and record daily Pari-Mutuel, Card Casino, Food and Beverage, attendance, FTE, and other data points for daily reporting
- Perform daily escrow analysis for Pari-Mutuel operations and related remittances
- Oversee the collection and reporting of all Source Market Fees from contracts with Advance Deposit Wagering companies
- Ensure all Pari-Mutuel reporting is completed and accurate on a daily basis
- Evaluate and analyze processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Analyze data to identify trends for use in budgets and forecasts
- Provide user support on various business application solutions
- Conduct demographic analysis to understand market changes and make recommendations
- Develop and prepare ad hoc financial and business analytics on revenue, expense areas, return on investment analysis, and other projects
- Assist in developing quarterly forecasts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and principles, including GAAP
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proven data analysis skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong desire to evaluate data at a granular level and problem solve
- Strong organizational, planning, public, and interpersonal relations skills
- Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Commitment to going above and beyond in accomplishing position responsibilities
- Must pass a background check, work history verification, and obtain/maintain a license from the Minnesota Racing Commission
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Gaming or Hospitality industry
- Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis or other professional finance designation
- Experience with Bally Casino Market Place or United Tote
- Experience with the budgeting and/or forecasting process
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using Tableau or similar analytical reporting tool
- Experience writing and executing SQL queries
- Two years of relevant Financial Planning & Analysis experience
