Job Summary
As a Financial Aid Administrator (FAA) at Unitek Learning, you will support students through the financial aid process, ensuring they receive the appropriate aid according to regulations and policy. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, you will handle various aspects of the financial aid department, including verification, disbursements, default management, and more.
Responsibilities
- Process state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
- Counsel students and parents
- Provide estimates and packaging information
- Manage defaults and financial literacy programs
- Audit and run reports to ensure work integrity
- Collaborate with other departments to assist students
- Maintain up-to-date information on new federal regulations
- Absorb and package VA benefits
- Packaging private loans
- Perform regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2+ years of Financial Aid experience
- Campus VUE experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
