About the role
The Financial Aid Coordinator will assist in the administration of over $44 million in federal, state and institutional financial aid.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of financial aid programs, eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application procedures.
- Resolve complex cases regarding financial aid.
- Absorb and award aid accordingly.
- Manage the Federal Work Study program including verifying student eligibility to work and certifying bar study loans using ELM Resources.
- Perform weekly transfer of student records from the Department of Education to the Banner financial aid system ("Dataload").
- Support the Office of Admissions.
- Answer and direct all incoming Financial Aid calls and inquiries.
- Scan and index variety of documents into Banner financial aid system.
- Conduct training sessions for supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and orderly record keeping.
- Monitor earnings to ensure compliance with federal financial aid awarding regulations.
- Provide support for the Office of Admissions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of financial aid work experience required.
- Knowledge of financial aid processes, eligibility and needs analysis methodology.
- Knowledge of Title IV Financial Aid program requirements recommended.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload.
- Work well under deadlines and heavy workload.
- Exceptional organizational skills to maintain accurate and orderly record keeping.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in working with supervision, peers, students, faculty, and other departments.
- Knowledge and experience with various computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office applications, integrated database systems).

Pay
$26.50 - $28.72 per hour; Excellent Benefits
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.
