Financial Aid Coordinator
About the role
The Financial Aid Office is seeking a highly motivated, student-focused, and organized Financial Aid Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position supports the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office and assists prospective, current, and former students and families throughout the financial aid process.
Responsibilities
- Supports the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office
- Assists prospective, current, and former students and families throughout the financial aid process
- Provides guidance regarding financial aid eligibility, application procedures, verification requirements, financing options, and available federal, state, institutional, and private aid programs
- Reviews financial aid applications and supporting documentation, determines eligibility, packages and revises financial aid awards, and assists students in resolving outstanding financial aid requirements
- Serves as a primary point of contact for students and families through in-person, phone, and email communication
- Coordinates the University’s Federal Work Study program
- Maintains compliance with federal and institutional regulations
- Maintains student eligibility and supports outreach and orientation activities
- Assists with general office operations within the Center for Enrollment Services
- Occasional evening or weekend attendance at enrollment events, information sessions, and orientation programs may be required
Requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
- Previous experience in financial aid, higher education, student services, or a related field is preferred
