Financial Aid Planner

You will make an impact by:

• Making presentations to students and prospective students about costs of attendance, available financial aid options, and student loan counseling.
• Reviewing documentation, forms, and other information provided by students to ensure accuracy and completeness, updating electronic student files accordingly, and scanning documents into Image Now.
• Reviewing student records to resolve discrepancies or conflicts and documenting actions or resolutions in the student electronic file.
• Assisting students and parents with the process of requesting FSA User IDs, completing FAFSAs (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), MPNs (Master Promissory Notes), and participating in online student loan entrance and exit counseling.
• Providing in-person student loan counseling for those who cannot complete online counseling.

Your Experience Includes:

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a customer service provider in a professional environment.
• The ability to demonstrate the highest levels of integrity and professional ethics in all aspects of the job function.
• The ability to communicate effectively through active listening and clear, effective delivery of information.
• The ability to provide excellent customer service with a professional, helpful, and positive demeanor.
• No current default on a federal student loan or outstanding repayment on a federal grant.
• Consent to audio and video recording of student financial aid appointments and overviews for training and quality assurance purposes.

Education:

• An associate's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
