About the role

We are looking for a Financial Aid Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will meet and communicate with current, prospective, and alumni students to guide them through the financial aid process. You will report directly to the Director of Financial Aid and be responsible for administering, determining eligibility, and processing student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow, in addition to other related tasks for the financial aid department.

Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position. This role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process verification and disbursements
  • Award state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
  • Counsel students and parents
  • Provide estimates and packaging information
  • Manage default prevention and financial literacy programs
  • Conduct auditing and run reports to ensure work integrity
  • Interact with other departments to assist students
  • Maintain up-to-date information on new federal regulations
  • Assist with private loans and package VA benefits
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Financial Aid experience
  • Campus VUE experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task

Pay

$23–$32 per hour (depending on level of Title IV experience)
