About the role
As a Financial Aid Advisor, you’ll guide students and families through one of the most important decisions of their educational journey with clarity, care, and confidence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of service, compliance, and student advocacy, and who wants their work to directly impact lives and future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Guide students through the financial aid process, from FAFSA completion to award packaging
- Review and analyze financial aid applications to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid
- Award and adjust aid packages in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies
- Counsel students and families through individual appointments, workshops, phone calls, email, and virtual tools
- Manage verification files, resolve discrepancies, and submit required corrections
- Evaluate special and unusual circumstances with sound judgment and empathy
- Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student satisfaction
- Present at orientations, information sessions, and student forums
- Support exit counseling for students who withdraw or graduate
- Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and university events
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience working directly with students and families in Financial Aid
- Working knowledge of Title IV financial aid regulations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

- Comfort working with data, calculations, and compliance requirements
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in nuanced or sensitive situations
