This position is located at our Albuquerque Brookline Campus.

About the role

As our Financial Aid Administrator (FAA), you will meet and communicate with current, prospective, and alumni students to guide them through the financial aid process. Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Aid, you will administer, determine eligibility, and process student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow, in addition to other related tasks for the financial aid department.

Responsibilities

  • Process verification and disbursements
  • Award state and federal aid to eligible students according to regulations and policy
  • Counsel students and parents
  • Provide estimates and packaging information
  • Manage default prevention and financial literacy programs
  • Conduct auditing and run reports to ensure work integrity
  • Interact with other departments to assist students
  • Maintain up-to-date information on new federal regulations
  • Assist with private loans and package VA benefits
  • Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site (essential function of this role)
  • Collaborate on-site with students, faculty, and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Financial Aid experience
  • Campus VUE experience preferred
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
