Job Overview
The Business Officer of Student Affairs is looking to hire a Financial Administrator 2 to provide support to the following offices: Student Conduct & Community Standards, Dean of Students Office (including the Bearcat Pantry & Resource Center), and Resident Education and Development (RED).
Essential Functions
- Oversee daily processing and accounting functions; ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with university, local, state and federal requirements and standard accounting and audit procedures including all compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prepare budgets, collaborate with functional units to develop forecasts, monitor and report on financial results, comprehend and enforce the University’s financial policies, and offer guidance to leadership.
- Maintain the financial status of budgetary allocations.
- Coordinate personnel functions for a functional area.
- Develop and maintain training materials and standard workflows for navigating and utilizing the Concur system.
- Communicate fiscal policy updates to the department, promoting awareness and compliance.
- Process supplier payments and manage other financial transactions within university financial systems (PACE).
- Perform related duties based on departmental needs.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field.
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
- Two (2) years of finance or accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Experience with Microsoft office (Power BI and Excel).
- Experience with SAP.
- Higher Ed Experience.
