About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join an outstanding team and be at the forefront of our organisational development. We are seeking a Finance Officer to work with the Secondary Trust Finance Team to provide a comprehensive range of financial support, administration and advice across the Trust. The post holder will closely support the Trust Finance Manager on higher level financial tasks including management account preparation and quality control of financial data.

Key Information

  • Location: New Collaborative Learning Trust
  • Salary: School Support Staff salary scale, Band F (Points 12-17). Actual Salary (£28,598-£31,022)
  • Contract Type: Full Time (37 hours), Full Year
  • Contract Term: Permanent
  • Start Date: As Soon As Possible
  • Closing Date: Friday 11th September

Requirements

  • Have, or be willing to work towards, a finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
  • Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of monthly financial administration and integrated financial accounting systems
  • Willingness to work flexibly within the team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting policy and regulations such as VAT and HMRC is essential

Location and Working Arrangements

The role will be predominantly based at Brinsworth Academy but there must be flexibility to work across the other school sites. The Trust currently comprises of three 16-19 Colleges, three Secondary Schools and three Primary Schools.
