About the role
The Senior Finance Manager executes bank strategy and operational goals through management of the Commercial Banking Division, focusing on areas such as budgeting & forecasting, trend analysis, pricing & profitability modeling & analytics, capital management, acquisition/divestiture scenario modeling, or financing & investment alternatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the Commercial Banking Division of financial responsibility, providing recommendations and executing initiatives to achieve strategic financial results.
- Conducts complex analysis as it applies to the Commercial Banking Division.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of business initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and communicate findings to business leaders, offering actionable recommendations for performance optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into various business projects and initiatives.
- Present reports and analysis to executive level management and auditors.
- Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field, 8 plus years of experience in Finance, with 5+ years of experience in specific financial area of responsibility.
- Banking Experience, required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, procedures, business correspondence, reports, and memorandums.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as financial reports, legal documents, procedures manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, management, board of directors, other employees in the organization, and the general public.
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial model-building and interpretive statistics.
- Ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects.
- Ability to effectively interpret, select appropriate techniques, take independent action, communicate and follow-through.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.
- Practical knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information.
- Knowledge and understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Knowledge of accounting and the associated rules and regulations.
- Expert proficiency level Microsoft Excel.
- Expert proficiency level Power BI or other visualization experience.
